Original artwork description:
This is the second painting I have done of this motel (The Royal Motel) that I came across in San Francisco many years ago - probably not there any more. I was trying to get the look of an old Kodachrome photograph in relation to the colours and as it was painted on canvas I was able to get a nice softness to the painting as well. Based on a yellow/violet complementary colour combination.
