Moonlight over Loch Mullardoch a small original acrylic landscape painting, inspired by the wild and remote Loch Mullardoch near Cannich and Glen Affric in the Scottish Highlands close to Inverness.
Painted in contrasting red and blue tones with a touch of grey in the sky.
Inspired by wild stormy nights camping in the mountains of Scotland beside remote lochs in the glens of highlands. With dramatic cloudy skies and a full moon rising above the peaks of the surrounding hills and a rough red orange bracken in autumn colors in the foreground and the rough waters of the windblown loch crashing on the shore.
Painted in my semi abstract impressionist style I have tried to convey an atmospheric sense of the weather and wilderness of Scotland on an autumn night.

Painted with quality artists acrylics on a 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) box canvas, with a matt varnish finish and black painted edges ready to hang.
