We stayed with a very wonderful camera person working with the UN at a lake in upstate New York. Trust me. Me made a big campfire and stayed around it a lot. The cabin was not heated except by one kerosene heater and I was the only one smart enough to take heavy plastic drop cloth to wrap around me and my girlfriend as we slept. I woke up with ice in my beard, but our bodies were toasty. We heated water for bathing and most of us simply went without. But it yielded many great photographs, this one of the moonlight on the ice.
