This painting was inspired by the fortitude that the monarch butterfly has. This butterfly, that weighs only as much as a paper clip, flies up to 3,000 miles from Canada to Mexico. Like in the long and dangerous journey of the monarch butterfly, in life it is necessary to be resourceful, resilient and strong. We need to have a “monarch soul.”
