This misty and mysterious bush scene was taken near the village of Blackheath in the Blue Mountains National Park, New South Wales, Australia in November 2015. This was actually springtime! The mist turned the outlines of the eucalypt trees into a graphic, almost black and white monochromatic image. Due to the unpredictability of the weather patterns in the Mountains, I have often suffered frostbite while taking photographs. This was one such occasion. The vertical outlines of the trees are further accentuated by the vertical format of the photograph.
