Artist's description:

This was midday on a freezing day of sub-zero temperatures, although at higher levels the sun had burnt the mist away. On my arrival at the Abbey, I couldn't even see it. Then it appeared and I began to photograph, thinking the mist would lift completely away, but this was in fact as high as it got before smothering the Abbey again.
