Artwork description:

In the 1970's there was a real nostalgia for the antique look, so Robert Scott Hooper took his favorite model, Janet Boyd to Tule Springs, just outside of Las Vegas to shoot a sexy layout for men's magazines. Janet was the perfect girl for a pictorial like this because she looked the epitome of a Gibson Girl. She was tall and voluptuous and dainty and graceful and loved dressing in the styles of the day. She made a perfect Miss Priss.

These are TRUE VINTAGE prints, made in 1974, in trays, with chemicals, just like the old darkroom days. Each print was bathed in cyanide with a brush for certain areas. Then they were treated in sepia toner, leaving some black & white areas to give a natural appearance of aging. For that reason each print is entirely unique, some having more brown tones than others.

You are looking at the original vintage print that was made on 8x10 paper. The print was trimmed because 35mm format does not exactly fit 8x10, so the image size is approximately 7x10. The print is dry mounted on illustration board and placed in an 11x14 white matte, ready for framing.

Materials used:

Black & white film, Silver Hilade photo paper & chemicals, potassium ferricyanide, sepia toner
