Artist's description:

Spectacular reflection on Vico lake, Central Italy. I've tried to simplify the scene, just working on the hill reflection and the solitary cloud wandering in the scky.

The latin words Speculum Coeli means, literally, “mirror of the sky ". Lakes and water in general reflect the clouds and the blue of the sky: for the ancient populations, this allowed a dialogue among men and gods. The lake become an intermediary between two worlds (Olympus, home of the gods and the Earth where humans lives) that normally could not communicate directly.
