Original artwork description:

Red Square was part of a series of miniature abstract watercolour paintings that I made in 2015 to explore the properties of watercolour. In this one I was playing with the strength and vibrancy of the colours when applied on wet paper with a palette knife. The red colour is gloriously rich and bright, and the simple design is harmonious and natural.

This artwork is mounted and framed in a square white frame behind glass. (I took the glass out of the frame whilst taking the photographs, so that there aren't any reflections).
