My heritage lies in the Rhondda Valleys, an (ex) coal mining area of South Wales. This linocut portrays a group of miners ascending from the gloom. A lot of my work is very detailed and I tried, with this piece, to convey a mood using as few cuts as possible.
The print, one of 25, is 15 x 20cm on a 30 x 42cm sheet of acid free paper.
