Artist's description:

MP Sharavanan's Meesai (the Tamil word for moustache) series is an intriguing take on portrait acrylic paintings of men from the streets of Varanasi, India's religious hub.

This aged man clans a vibrant saffron turban, a thick white moustache, naama on his forehead (a religious symbol of orthodox Hindus worshipping Lord Vishnu). The vibrant colours of this painting makes it suitable for lighter settings.
