Artist's description:

What inspired me to do this particular subject, was my late Uncle who always spoke of the more happier time he had in Zimbabwe where he would go fishing. My Uncle passed many years ago and my little cousin and myself would often talk about family who had passed. Then last year I lost my little cousin to cancer and was compelled to do this piece. If anyone in the art world is from Zimbabwe they may just recognize this area just outside of Harare.
This painting was taken from a photo, and I hope that fisherman will remember been there fishing as well and enjoyed himself as much as my Uncle did.

Materials used:

pre-streched tripple primed canavs and painted with oils

Mazoe dam (Zimbabwe) Lonely fisherman (2013)
