Artist's description:

Large oil painting of a wildflower meadow of wild mayweed flowers in a chalk grassland field called "Lime Kiln" in Flitcham, Norfolk, England on a sunny summer's day.

The fields all have individual names and this one is an old Norse name dating from Anglo Saxon Times. A view like this is uncommon as 97% of British wildflower meadows have been lost since the 1930s.

This chalk grassland meadow, along with many others on the same farm have been rescued by wildflower conservation experts painstakingly hand gathering and planting local wildflower seed and abstaining from the use of pesticides or herbicides. The biodiversity of plants and insects on the meadows has exploded and it's on its way back to its former glory.

This view appears in a number of my paintings in different seasons and weather conditions.

It is painted in oil paint on canvas with deep, painted sides and is ready to hang or frame as you prefer. Ilove the scenery around here and have painted the same ground of fields many times in different weather conditions and seasons.

It is signed on the front and signed, titled and dated on the back.
