Artist's description:

The San Antonio Museum of Art offered a lovely, small exhibit of Matisse's work, showcasing his "Jazz" series. I have always admired his paper paintings and cut-outs. Many have leaf-shapes. As I left the museum, I saw, to my great delight, that there were leaves scattered on the ground that were perfect reflections of some of his shapes. I photocopied a leaf and also used it as a stencil with my paper to create this piece. The image includes photography, photocopy, and my own handmade paper.
