Artist's description:

This piece is a black encaustic painting (bees wax, damar, pigment) on nine wood panels, that piece together to make a 44” x 33” painting. The paint surface is rich and highly textured. The spaces where there is no paint show the raw wood of the pine panels.

The title refers to a song. Like music, paintings can be full of feeling, while not always having a narrative. I've chosen to name these pieces after songs because I want the viewer to view these works with a sense of the feelings they evoke.

This piece comes unframed, with “Command Strips”, which allow for easy hanging on any smooth wall. Contact me if you are looking for hanging options for brick, or other non smooth walls.

Materials used:

Nine wood panels, beeswax, graphite, damar
