While in Malta we visited the unspoiled fishing village of Marsaxlokk. The village has somehow survived the daily deluge of tourists without loosing it's character. These brightly painted fishing boats are said to owe their design to the ancient Phoenicians who first arrived in Malta around 800 BC.
