Mark featured in my solo exhibition 'City of Plymouth Adorned', a collection of paintings illustrating local peoples' adornments. These could be demonstrating their culture, style, achievement, status, belief, honour.
Mark lost both legs at the groin and his right arm whilst serving as a Royal Marine in Afghanistan.
His adornments aren't his prosthetic limbs...as many assume, but the sticker in place of his old tattoos on his prosthetic right arm...a picture and quote from the late Bruce Lee "Pray not for an easy life, but for the strength to endure a difficult one". It has become Mark's mantra.
