Artist's description:

Landscape of the Auvergne, in the very heart of France.
In the highlands of the Massif du Mézenc (1300m altitude), the melting snow reveals the straw-coloured meadows withered by the winter.

This landscape is a plein air painting, painted “alla prima” in one single sitting, with lively and spontaneous brushstrokes to attempt to capture the momentary effects of sunlight , the movement and the atmosphere.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas.
