I made a few similar drawings last year in Nepal whilst I was there during the earthquakes hoping to raise some funds for the appeal as I was already there.I saw these butterflies all over the surroundin hills as archetypal symbol of hope. So much to say about that time but this is the last one I have and I would love it to find a home before I leave the UK again.
I have shown some images of similar work and I have included some images of where and when it was made.....on a very stormy night at my little makeshift studio with millions of moths flying around! And where the inspiration came from
It's a pretty rough finish as it was drawn onto Nepali rag paper which although its very hard wearing gives a raised, rustic feel to the finish.
Hope you like.
