Original artwork description:
"Manihiki Dreams" explores a bustling underwater terrain, with fragmented islands of color representing golden sunshine, green flora, cerulean sky and warm turquoise waters.
This painting was created with high density vibrant acrylics added to fluid medium, and poured onto the canvas. Palette knife techniques were used to overlay the various colors, creating natural "cells" which where then embellished with clear glass paint. Alcohol inks and acrylics were used to further enhance the various fragments.
The painting continues onto the sides, making it look great even without a frame.
A triple layer of gloss varnish protects the painting from sunlight and UV rays, and also gives it that contemporary "glassy" look. The painting is packaged in several layers of bubble wrap in sturdy packaging to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
