Artist's description:

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is the voice for everyone who loves the sea. They work to secure a future for our living seas, and to save our threatened marine wildlife before it is lost forever.

This painting is of a beautiful Mandarinfish.
The mandarinfish or mandarin dragonet (Synchiropus splendidus), is a small, brightly colored member of the dragonet family, which is popular in the saltwater aquarium trade. The mandarinfish is native to the Pacific, ranging approximately from the Ryukyu Islands south to Australia.
The piece is approximately A3 size (42x29.7cm) for easy framing.

I paint wonderful animals and sell each piece in aid of relevant conservation charities. Each painting is researched and painted with care to make sure of accuracy and character. Each piece is shaded carefully with acrylic paint using an airbrush, and then details are added using chalk pencil and Prisma coloured pencils.

Materials used:

Acrylic, coloured pencil, chalk
