Artist's description:

There are some classic paintings I adore. This is Man and Woman contemplating the moon made by Caspar David in 1824. Or better, it is my interpretation of this work in a limited linoprint. I made it in 2 layers from the same block, so the Edition of 10 cannot be reprinted in this form.
Of course, as completely printed manually without a press on Mayspies Bütten paper and the colours being remixed for each print every print differs a bit. As I mixed some gold colour in the brownish layer the picture is glittering in light...
I think though taking a completely different technique the feeling the picture transports is quite similar...
