Painted on-site at the MN Landscapte Arboretum. Features a flowering crabapple tree bursting with brilliant hot pink and red blossoms, and glowing in the afternoon sunlight. White blossoms from another tree peek out at the lower left of the branches, and undulating waves of spring green grass fill the background.
This painting was created with watercolor and gouache on paper, using both brush and splatter techniques. Watercolor ground has been added to select areas of the blossoms for an additional textural effect.
