Sometimes ideas take over as soon as you start to paint. I had just painted the background black and my mind wandered into thoughts of blackboards. Suddenly I started to paint letters from an imagined alphabet. But it isn't an alphabet, it is a text that has never been translated. One of the letters looks like a guitar, and this painting is dedicated to my friend Sean Newman, who is a Luthier.
It would probably look best in a modern city apartment.
The construction is canvas stretched over a wooden frame which is not visible. It is ready to hang.
