I painted 'Low tide at Mousehole, Cornwall' on a warm summer day in late summer, on location at Mousehole Harbour, Cornwall. It shows the fishing boats and their mooring chains sitting on the sand and others standing up against the harbour wall, with the war memorial and town beyond.
While I painted this, a group of American artists arrived to capture the same scene, guided by their tutor. I was attracted by the colourful boats and the patterns on the sand of the mooring chains. This is the third in my recent Cornwall series.
This will make a lovely gift for someone who grew up or who holidayed at Mousehole in Cornwall. I have signed it on the front, in the lower left corner and It comes to you carefully wrapped and with a signed certificate of authenticity. It is framed, ready to hang on your wall.
