This view is from the cafe at the Bankside Tate, an acrylic version of another watercolour painting I have on Artfinder, and is part of my series depicting the London Skyline paintings which, after a conversation with a respected art professional, I'm trying to make simpler, better composed with a slightly warmer feel to the pieces. The basic shape of the city still sits on the horizon and I have warmed up the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. The skyline was changed to suit my composition, so London, if it looks odd, that's why.
Unlike most of my other work, this painting was made with acrylic paint, a medium I'm enjoying the I use it. The surface is thick card, primed with gesso.
All paintings are wrapped and packed in robust card and posted
within one working day in the UK, slightly longer internationally.
