Artist's description:

This is a scene I never tire of painting, and currently trying to get a simpler, better composed and slightly warmer feel to my city paintings. The basic shape of the skyline still sits on the horizon and I have warmed up the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. The skyline was changed to suit my composition, a few ugly buildings removed (and why not), so if it looks unusual to those who know the view, that's why. Like most of my other paintings, painted on a sample of the excellent St Cuthbert's Mill Saunders Waterford paper.

Techniques used were the full range of masking, wet in wet washes, dry brush and sharp detail.

All paintings are wrapped and packed in robust card and posted
within one working day in the UK, slightly longer internationally.
