Ivy growing on this white barn turned a brilliant red in the fall. Fortunately, I photographed this and other buildings on a landmark farm near where I lived before they were demolished.
Neglected farm buildings decay and are lost to age, fire, and demolition. Once gone, their unique materials and construction cannot be replaced. I enjoy painting their distinctive architectural styles, those well preserved and those weathered and worn, as a tribute to our farming heritage.
If you are interested in purchasing this painting with a frame, I have one available that suits the piece.
