Artist's description:

As impressive as Mother Nature is, vintage locomotives are for me a marvel of engineering. The number of moving parts, powered by steam, moved people and goods across many countries for years. When I think about the individuals who designed these, and improved on them over the years of their operation I'm always amazed at their ingenuity.
This a 16x20" colour image of a drive shaft and drive wheels of a locomotive that is close to 100 years old. I thought about printing this in monochrome, but wanted to capture and reproduce the grime and oil on the drive shafts and wheels, colour worked well for this picture.
