Artist's description:

For me, inspiration comes from many places -- the natural world, archaeology, history, science, even cartoons. I love the idea of telling a story in one image.

“Little Brother” (LB) was born from my love of ancient cultures. I love thinking about the world as it used to be and capturing those elements to bring into our own spaces. LB is a composition based on Fremont, Native American petroglyphs from Nine Mile Canyon in Utah. Some petroglyphs have no known meanings. Shaman figures are often depicted securing help from the spirit world for the benefit of the community.

This piece is finished on the sides so it can be hung unframed.

LB is intended to be a beautiful art piece on its own visual merits that recalls a time before modern writing, but if you want to pause a moment longer, I hope the image makes you ponder our world.
