Artist's description:

This is a very unusual artwork - a mosaic made from discarded lino that had lain in the earth for many years. In its heyday, Williamson's factory in Lancaster UK created lino, dumping unwanted scraps nearby. Nature reclaimed the area which is now woodland, but the woodland floor is littered with the lino offcuts. I collected some of this lino, cleaned it up and created this tree - which represents regeneration. Created on a strong wooden board, the mosaic is ungrouted. There are mirror hooks on the back allowing for hanging.

Materials used:

lino, glue, board
