Original artwork description:

acrylic, colored pencils and pastels on paper

the linear transformations are polychromatic, abstract compositions derived from the application of linear maps to different geometric shapes generated and arranged by a mathematical-geometric method

in this particular composition, the original shape is first altered by applying the transformation (or map), to the whole base pattern. the resulting, new shape is superimposed over the original one

a "vectorization" process, through which each individual segment is converted into independent, individual vectors, is then utilized

a different linear map is consequently applied to each vector, altering their length and direction

the resulting shapes and patterns are all finally superimposed and minimally rearranged, generating the final composition

Materials used:

acrylic, colored pencils and pastels
