Our new home in Florida sits on a small lake, and we are blessed (though some would say cursed) to have abundant birdlife to watch from our back sunroom. These limpkins can be quite noisy during the early morning hours, sounding like prehistoric creatures. But, I am always happy to see their dark shapes looming on the water's edge where they forage for apple snails and mollusks. This small painting will arrived matted and backed with archival materials and in a protective acetate sleeve.
