Lightstream is a minimalist abstract landscape painting created with non traditional tools. This painting was created outside on location and is part of my new series of plein air abstract paintings. These larger works are based on the light qualities and texture of the place I am seeing. Focusing mainly on the light qualities, the results are more minimal and atmospheric. By creating these pieces on location, I am able to get closer to bringing the outside into the work and capture that essence in the finished painting.
