Artist's description:

This painting is an expressive response to the moorlands that surrounded me when I painted the piece outside in the cold spring of 2015 in Derbyshire, The Peak District.
The colours reflect the beautiful earth tones found on the moors at that time of year and the expressive brush marks are a response to capturing the 'feeling' of the place.

Framed locally by hand with the finest quality wooden frame. The oil paints are a high quality pigment and I always use Premium Wide depth 10oz Stretched Cotton Canvas. The painting is varnished with a high quality lustre oil paint varnish that will help protect the painting from dust, grease and UV damage. I use a greener alternative to traditional turpentine and white spirit.
