This sculpture of a hare and Leveret portrays how all parents have to guide and instruct their offspring in order to give them knowledge of how to negotiate life and the hurdles it may bring.
All my sculptures are unique and all have their own character and personality which develops during the making process. It looks as though this young hare has overstepped the line and is receiving harsh words from their unimpressed parent.
The sculpture is made by twisting and weaving individual strands of various gauge non-tarnish copper wire to gradually build up the shapes, and I also make pieces using silver-plated wire.
The measurements below relate to the adult hare.
