Artist's description:

Thank you for taking the time to look at my painting. I am delighted it caught your eye!

Let's Be Friends was inspired by my time in Camberwell, South London painting a 108ft mural for Bethwin Adventure Playground on behalf of the construction company next door who wanted to brighten up their hoarding on the children's side.

I worked on the mural for two weeks one Summer with the children as little helpers by my side. The English weather showed itself from the best possible side and we were blessed with glorious sunshine throughout.

As I observed the children playing and interacting with each other I was reminded of how easy it is during childhood to make friends, to connect. It is such a precious time and open-minded state, worth preserving as much as possible.

Part of me is still a bit like that for I feel a connection with most people and often have a "Let's Be Friends" attitude in the sense that it is worth looking past boundaries, past that what may divide us and actively seek that which we have in common. Let's celebrate that!

This painting is for you because you are open minded and enjoy making new connections because you know that even the briefest of moments can be profound, because we are connected to each other and the universe and because you know how nice it is to just say hey "Let's Be Friends"!

This piece is painted on high grade stretched cotton. I used top grade artist's acrylics by the American company Golden and the German brand Schminke. The painting is protected with UV filtering varnish and comes ready to hang with D-rings and wire across the back. The painting can be hung as is, because the pattern continues around all sides. However if you wish to add a frame to this artwork, I would recommend a light to medium grey tray frame. I make these frames by hand myself, so please get in touch to discuss.

"Let's Be Friends" is signed on the front and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. When the time comes to send you your new treasure, it will be protected by acid free archival paper, bubble wrap, cardboard, polythene sheeting, packaging paper and high visibility red and white "Fragile" tape. Safe and secure!

International taxes and duty fees are currently the responsibility of the buyer.
