My most recent painting of Lantic Bay. I went there last weekend and the sea was so calm and the view was stunningly beautiful. I've known this beach all my life. I love it and I love painting it. The results were particularly colourful picking out the beautiful Autumn tones. I firstly put down a thin wash and then worked in layers with a brush and palette knife. Finally I scratched in lots of texture to create the foreground.
