Artist's description:

Inspired by the monumental works of Jacques Maillol and Henry Moore, I headed to the Anza Borrego Desert in Southern California and searched for the perfect stone for carving my own female figure. I camped out for several days under the stars with scorpions and other bugs to discover the alabaster. Hauled back in my truck with a smile on my face, I eventually arrived home and set to carving L'Air. I'm always amazed that from a dirty block of rock can emerge a beautiful polished work of art. A testimony to the creativity of the human spirit and what we can achieve when our minds are focused. Purchase L'Air and experience that creativity.

Materials used:

Alabaster, Wood, Stainless Steel
