Original artwork description:

Rarely do I paint seascapes,so I decided before commencing this scene that I wanted to paint a scene with a particular luminosity to create drama. It's almost a surreal seascape as you're unlikely to see such a sight in real life. That's what makes this painting so unique,as it's not a simple true to life scene.
An art critics review, following an exhibition in Toulouse,France" Julians' ability to bring realism to has work is astounding;More than photorealism, he paints what the human eye sees when viewing his subjects in real life. His use of light and shade,to create form,is second to none."
Please note,I choose to paint on heavyweight water colour paper,as it suits my style of painting. Also, once my paintings are framed behind glass they are protected from atmospheric grime for life, unlike oil paintings that can accumulate grime which dulls the colours over a period of time.
