This is part of a larger series of day of the dead paintings I've been creating since 2015. I love reconnecting with my culture and heritage through art. I grew up in Europe and was not exposed to my Mexican heritage. As an artist I use vibrant and bold colors to express the vivid energy of my culture. This particular painting is an homage to the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
