Artist's description:

Plein air oil on canvas painted on a hot dusty July afternoon, building up to the exhibition 'Plain to Sea' at ArtSway Gallery, New Forest, Hampshire during August 2017. Standing upon a tank crossing looking West, these points of entry onto the Plain serve as a link between civilian and military use, and all are unique in signage and character.
This and other works in graphite, gouache, and oil, I have been capturing for many years upon Salisbury Plain, and am continuing through the late summer and into Autumn, capturing the slowly changing seasons across it.
