Artist's description:

While living in Tallinn, Estonia I became a bit obsessed with the main local souvenir the Matryoshka. On visiting Russia I found a society with great diversity. I painted a large number of different Matryoshkas showing all types of things I noticed in St Petersburg.
It has now been a few years since moving from Northern Europe but I still get asked to paint Matryoshkas. I have painted 'Kitsch out kitsched as the topic is funny.

At the moment I am re painting a few of them as they all sold too quickly. They look great in a group of two or three.

I post Matryoshkas on their stretcher frames. So you can hang them without needing to get them framed.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, varnish

Kitsch out kitsched (2017)
