After being locked up in my studio for over a month I'm happy to present my very first large scale painting Kiss!
It measures a whopping 71x47" or 180x120cm. By far the largest hyperrealism painting I did thus far. For years I dreamt of painting something that big and that's why I organised a crowfunding event on Kicktstarter back in may '17.
Even though I didn't get fully funded with the support of my backers I was finally able to paint a really big one! So thank you all for your support, I really, really appreciate it!!!
Kiss shows a man enjoying a painting entitled The Kiss by Gustav Klimt. He painted it between 1907 and 1908, the highpoint of his so-called Golden Period, when he painted a number of works in a similar gilded style. I always loved this painting and thought it would be a perfect motive for my first large scale painting.
