Artist's description:

What a great name for this beautiful specimen. I just had to paint it!
I paint from my own collection of specimens. I have collected and been fascinated by wonders of nature and can remember many hours staring into the specimen cabinets at the Natural history museum in London. Painting digitally, allows me to paint details often unseen with the human eye, giving the viewer a greater appreciation of the specimen they are looking at. The result is a larger than life size painting which gives maximum impact.
Each one of my small editions are hand finished in oil glazes and varnish. This gives each artwork unique qualities, depth and quality.

Materials used:

Digital painting, printed on fine art canvas and hand finished in oils.
