'Kingfish' came about when I was 30 weeks pregnant with a surprise gender baby. As you can imagine, planning the nursery colour scheme was a little challenging.
Dozens of Dulux paint swatches littered the nursery floor - pinks, blues, yellows and greens – like a kaleidoscope of colourful reef fish gliding through the ocean. It seemed such a waste to sacrifice all these magnificent paint chips to choose a single colour. So I set about creating a canvas of re-cycled pigments to hang on the nursery wall … leaving strategic Dulux colour code hints so when the baby arrived we could pick the perfect hue.
