Beautiful realistic pastel painting of otters. I love otters, and it would be fantastic to be able to photograph them in the wild, however as yet I've not had the pleasure. I came across these otters at London Zoo, my son came up with the title, because the top otter is looking as if he feels very important at the top, keeping a lookout whilst the other otters enjoy a sunbathe.
This is a pastel painting on pastelmat, which has a texture similar to fine sandpaper, which grips the pastel allowing me to apply the multiple layers.
Pastel on pastelmat, mounted and back board using a pH neutral and non acidic board.
