Artist's description:

These beautiful birds symbolize the dunes to me, running along the sand, flying low and fast with their iconic call. Birds are usually too fast for me to get a good sketch, but this one posed on an old concrete abutment long enough for me to snap a photo of him. When I saw the photo, I thought he looked like he was poised on a surfboard, so "Surfer Bird" is my subtitle for this painting.

For this painting I used a wide-wrap gallery canvas with painted edges. It is wired and ready to hang in any setting.
