Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

"Khrysos (Gold) is a child of Zeus; neither moth nor rust devoureth it; but the mind of man is devoured by this supreme possession" Pindar, Fragment 222
KHRYSOS (or Chrysus) was the spirit (daimon) of gold.
The Marikana miners strike was a wildcat strike near Rustenburg , Southa Africa in 2012. The event garnered international attention following a series of ciolent incidents between the South African Police, Security , Unions and the strikers themselves resulting in the deaths of 44 people.
I painted Khrysos as a woman of beauty but with a spear of violence in the hand against the backdrop of miners in the tunnels of earth, looking defeated and tired.
