I based this print on two photographs by Louise Lagerweij-Galloway, after running a competition to find the best Dutch winter scenes to base my prints on. On the day she walked the frozen canals of Amsterdam, “there was a warm and playful atmosphere, the Dutch showed their spontaneous side, and races, games of hockey and riverboat cafes-on-ice sprung up all over.”
This is an original, handmade linoblock print, hand coloured with acrylic inks. Each print is therefore a unique work of art, and no two are exactly the same. If you would like to see your specific print before purchase, please contact me and I will e-mail you an image.
I take great care to ensure that my prints will last for a long time. I use only acid-free paper, printed with Van Son rubber based printing ink, and coloured with permanent acrylic inks. The image size is 10x15 cm (4x6 inches), and the outside dimensions of the mount are exactly A4 (21x29.7cm). Each print is signed along with its limited edition number (one of 100).
